i just recently installed a K&N Typhoon intake on my EVO 8 and now i could hear the stock diverter valve clearly. I also have a HKS SSQ BOV made for the evo 8 coming in soon. After hearing some sound clips of a HKS bov (with recirculating kit) made for a GST on an evo, i thought it sounded identical to the stock diverter valve. If i install the HKS bov and recirculate, will i be getting a high pitch "bird chearp" sound or will it sound just like stock?

 

like stock, maybe a bit louder. that's it.

 

chirp rules but i havnt recirlated my hks yet and i have the k&n typhoon to it will be louder than stock trust me
hey is your k&n typhoon system suck air really bad when your starting to boost up because mines sounds like a airplane about to take off and my boost only peaks at 16 then cuts back to 15, is yours doing this too.

 

if you dont recirculate the bov will it cause problems with your car?

 

cool! yeah when my turbo starts to spool up it does sound really loud.....i dont have a boost gauge yet so i wouldnt know(investing in one though). Do you think it peeks at 16psi because of the BOV?

 

most people who VTA do run into problems. Your car senses the vented air wich stumbles the computer and makes you stall out. To get rid of this problem you can get the Apex-i S-AFC which sets your A/F to help make your car run smooth. I just decided to recirculate because i didnt want to have to go through all this.(maybe later though )
