HKS Turbo timer

Does this turbo timer work with the stock factory alarm? Any complications at all?

works fine w/ the factory alarm... use a harness, i believe its mt6
You might run into problems w/ an aftermarket alarm

i have the hks TT type 1 and it does NOT work with the factory alarm that comes with it. Got mine in Cerritos and the car wont arm when the engine is still running. The alarm is KARR. Check to see what brand, cuz i remember some san diego dealers also use the same.

well, he could be referring to just the remote control alarm too? But from what i have been told from my tuner, the "factory alarm" is not factory, but actually aftermarket. Its jsut that the dealer installs it and so some coufuse it as factory alarm

I have the alarm the dealership gave me... It uses the same control for keyless entry, just lock arms, and unlock disarms.

I'm expecting the turbo timer to work, just the alarm will not arm until it has counted down... I'm wondering if this is correct, and if so can you lock the doors and leave without arming the alarm (will the doors open once counted down?)

the wont arm when the engine is on and counting down. Once the engine cuts off, the alarm wont automatically arm. U ahve to arm it again with the remote. Basically this negates the purpose of a TT as u have to wait there. So yes u can lock the door and leave. but dont expect it to be armed when u get back. Also, u can switch off the auto-unlock function.

Thanks alot. So it seems to be the same exact case as the 95-98 eclipses, only this time I have lo jack, so leaving it alone isn't as scary....
