All of our customer cars as well as our personal cars use Royal Purple. It's some of the best, if not the best, stuff out there.

So you can put 75/90 or MT90 in the tranny because a few people have use both. I thought it was MT 90.

Too many choice so I can't decide what fluids to use.

How's the car running with these fluids and do you need the friction mode with 75/90?

Thanks

runs very well..... only needed the friction mod since I was using the 75w/90 NS (NS was the tuneable oil)....If I could have gotten the regular 75 w/90 I wouldnt have needed it....

GOKOU - I am also researching on this. It looks like everyone seems to either go with Royal Purple or Redline.

Shahul - Can you elaborate more on the friction mod?

"Redline 75w/90 w/4 oz of friction mod in the rear diff"

NEO RHD in the center and rear and Redline MT-90 in the transaxle here as well. If NEO made a GL-4 for the transaxle, I would put it in there as well...

NEO rocks, but it's spendy. I also have it front and rear in my wife's WRX and it's great, esp with the Kartboy short shifter and bushing.

Take care,

basically if you find 75w/90 your fine.... but if you get the 75 w/90 NS, then you need a bottle of friction modifyer....

If you can get Amsoil series 2000 75w/90 your fine....

this is for the Rear diff, use lightweight shockproof in the transfer case

Thanks for the info Shahul.

Berkel - how does the car drive with Redline in the tranny?
Also where did you get your NEO fluids from?

I was doing some more searching around and I found this other thread which is kind of scaring me from putting anything else but stock fluid:

NEO does, it's HD which is GL2-5 (RHD GL5-6). Read:

"NEO 75W-90 HD meets the requirements for GL-4 grade even where manufacturers discourage the use of a GL-5 product. It is recommended for front wheel drive transaxle use where GL-4 performance is specified."

I have this in my tran's and RHD in my diff's.

I'm happy with the Redline in the tranny. It's smoother and quieter (I had the decel noise, but it's gradually lessened).

I first changed at ~3k miles, then again at 15k. I'm at 16K now. Shifter feel also improved with the kartboy underhood bushings.

I got my NEO stuff from Bakerprecision:

Silencer,

Thanks for the info on the compatible NEO for transaxle, I may try that next time.

Take care,
