Cat delete Question

This may be a stupid question, but I had to ask to get some clarification.

1. Is cat delete the same as a test pipe?

2. Do people with cat delete or test pipe experience a bad exhaust smell.

3. Is there any difference in HP gained from a cat delete compared to a high flow cat.

I'm trying to decide b/w a few different options for a turbo back.

Thanks!

aside from all the smells and junk, if your running a full turbo back with no cat don't get stuck in front of a cop... The evo and sti are both prone to throw fire at times..... Pretty cool i guess but not cool if u get stopped... Reason being the car run's so stinking rich...
