Whats up with that dyno sheet? How high does your boost hit now with the turboback freeing up all the restriction? I'm sure that most exhausts that are turboback with no resonators and limited mufflers should sound similar. I have a catback mufflerless system on my EVO right now and it scares people at WOT throttle. I plan on builiding the DP and straight pipe so at that pint there will be no restriciton in the exhaust...well maybe a few bends but nothing crazy.

BTW nice video and keep us posted, what are your other modifications?

Well the numbers are low (check out the thread discussion for more details on that) but the only reason I'm dynoing is to tell the difference for each stage of modifications.

I don't have a boost gauge yet so I'm unsure as to what actual boost I am running. And I think you're right, they all should sound about the same but the pipe wall thickness and muffler design will make somewhat of an impact for sure.

Glad you liked the vid, more to come!

Any more picts. I'm looking for a rear profile shot from like 10ft.

Exhaust sounds good! Louder is better! Wonder how loud it'd be with the muffler delete pipe. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I should find out

I was wondering the same, NO muffler would be insanity I guarantee it.

I don't have anymore pics right now, but describe more in depth what you want and I'll snap one later.

Webguy,

I am glad that you finally decided to get the buschur exhaust. I dunno man, I do alot of highway driving and had the same set up that you do and it gave me a HEADACHE and a half, I decided to go and get the magnaflow option and it is just about perfect! Anyway, good luck! You really need to get a boost guage soon! Since it really isnt that cold anymore it's ok but, you have to make sure you aren't spiking.

Bobby

Does anyone have any pics of the Buschur TBE w/ hf cat and magnaflow muffler? Both on and off car? Buschur's web site does not have any pics of the magnaflow equipped exhaust that I am interested in. Thanks in advance.

First of all, where in DC do you live (VA, MD?)? We're having a DCEvoClub meet tonight, and I could just show you in person exactly what it looks and sounds like!

I have 3" TBE, hi-flow cat and Magnaflow on my car. I previously had the JDM exhaust: way loud and burned my bumper... The magnaflow I have looks just like the pics above, but the muffler portion as larger and polished (still round), and says "magnaflow" on the side. Unfortunately, I don't have my camera @ work today, or I'd go take a pic for you. Sorry!

Thanks for the reply! I unfortunately can't make the meet tonight, but will definitely try to make the next one. Where do you guys typically meet? I am in the Falls Church area by Tysons Corner. I have been wanting to get involved with the DCEvoClub for sometime, but have just never gotten around to going to a meet. When's the next meet?

Yes after about 2k miles I noticed a distinct change in the tone. It's a lot more boomy/bassy than when it was new. Think of like a spectrum shift from 10% < 100hz + 90% > 100hz to 60% < 100hz + 40% > 100hz (at wot!).

It's still a monstrously loud exhaust though. Did I mention the power gains?? I keep up with some of my Works P2 flashed/cat back/intake peeps around here!

Well, the club often meets at Tysons (Starbucks by Tower), and usually somewhere every friday. I work very close to Tysons. PM me, maybe we can meet up for lunch sometime and you can check out my setup, as well as get more info on the club... otherwise, check out dcevoclub.com (which I'm sure you have) for up to date goings-on. I'm "Pure Evo" on that board.
