Pic explanation

The burn on the bumper happened when I had my car dynoed. The previous exhaust sat about 1/2" or less from the bumper, and the guy who strapped it down strapped it down so tight that the exhaust touched the bumper when he did the run. I didn't realize until after the fact and I smelled the burning. I plan on putting lancershop's heat shield to cover the damage and protect it further.

That said, the Magnaflow muffler is a perfect muffler for the Buschur 3". As you can see, it sits perfectly and it's SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than the JDM. The sound is great at WOT, but subdued (yet deep!) at low rpms. I haven't dyno'd it yet with the new muffler on, but as far as I can tell, the power is the same. For price versus performance, I think it's hard to beat.

"I'm David Buschur and I approved this message" just kidding!!!

I have some photos of SterlingEVO's exhaust and a video clip, but I don't have a place to host the video. Anyone want to volunteer? BTW.... the Buschur exhaust sounds sweet! Not too loud at all and not too quiet either. This is how the car should sound from the factory if you ask me. BTW... his car fly's. Lots of power for as little mods he has done. I am pretty much sold on it. The only thing that i want to make sure of is that the exhaust tip is fairly flush with the rear bumper. Sterling Evo's sticks out a bit as you can see in the photos, but I think it can be adjusted.

Is that the Buschur exhaust? Do all his tips stick out that far? I know he doesn't want to burn the bumper, but that sticks out a little too far (my opinion).

The slip fit design of the Buschur allows you to adjust the amount of the tip exposure. But you're right, leaving that amount of tip sticking out is just asking to have your leg burned while your fishing around in the trunk for something. Been there, done that... the scab's finally healed over.

I got 10WHP and 10TQ from full 3"BR with hi-flo and Magnaflow. Biggest diff was the flattening of the torque band at high RPM's.

hahha... I always stay on the drivers side when fishing in my trunk

I didn't push the tip in further because I like the way it looks. I think that the tip matches the lines of the car well, and from the side view, it complements the wing well. If I ever do burn my leg on it, I'll push it in

Steve.... I called Buschur Today talked to Jarod and placed an order!! I loved the exhaust so much and you car felt so strong. I even called WORKS and they will reflash my ECU for 20 bucks to match the full 3" Buschur exhaust. I ordered it with high flow cat and the Magnafllow muffler.

I would say the turboback install would take 1-2 hours without a proper lift. The boost guage should run around an hour, and make that two if your doing proper A-pillar mounting and paint. So 4 hours of work for $350...seems unreasonable.
