Check your intercooler piping to make sure nothing has popped off. The upper intercooler pipe to your intake manifold has been known to pop off for some people that run higher than normal boost. Maybe have the person who installed your UTEC help you out.

 

check for boost leak in the engine around the intercooler pipes, and any areas where you see clamps holding the pipe/vacuum lines. probably just that, doubt it is your cat

 

I wouldn't bring it to a dealer. Bring it to Titan or a trusted mechanic and have them look at it. It might be a simple fix. If you're still out of luck PM me as I know a couple of wrenchheads.

 

If it won't rev past 3200 then Cat is possible.
2 things u can try. 1 is have some one rev the car and see if you can feel pressure at the tail pipe. It should blow your hand off the pipe (use a rag or glove of course). 2 try getting under the car and banging on the cat with your hand, if it rattles inside it's toast.
Normally this is caused by dumping too much fuel into the cat and it ignites there and melts the catylst.

 

To reset ECU, unclamp your Neg connector on the battery for about 15seconds...

 

It's a shame that you have this EMS and don't know wtf to do with it nor anything else on your car. The problem is not your car, not Mitsu, not anything else except you; drive the hour to get it fixed! WTH, I would drive 20 hours to get it fixed if I knew they would fix it when I got there.

 

Yea, gotta agree with webguy. If you are going to mod it, you have to understand at least how to diagnose simple problems, and be willing to take it to a good mechanic to get it checked out quickly. So stop whining and fix it already!

 

Unplug the utec 1st. Next does it rev? If no then it's the cat, also it is VERY hard on a car to drive around with a plugged cat.

 

2 things, first, I dont think GOD is roaming the evo forums, so dont expect him to help. Second, i agree with webguy also, dont go modding ur car and now knowing ANYTHING about it. Do your research before you go buyin ****. Its probably a popped or loose boost/intercooler hose or sumthin. but the fact that u cant rev past 3200 is odd, disconnect ur negative connection on the car battery for a few minutes and put it back. Also, do u have a check engine light?
