Ok mechanics and tuners i need help now!!!! I've had my turbo XS UTEC installed about 5 days now, and its been GREAT! i gained about 40+ HP (well, it feels like it) and I love(d) it. Well, tonight im driving around town and i hit 4 gear and no boost, noneat all! THe car doesnt go....i hit fifth so see whats up and i floor it RPMS stay at 3200 and i go nowhere. Now i got no boost in any gear and my car is just slow as ***** please help me!!! I dont want to have to drive an hour to get it fixed at the place that installed it. BTW i have boost gauge and peak is 1-2 PSI max........

it sounds like you are in limp mode or something. did you try reseting the ecu?

That could be your problem right there. I know that after I put my autronic on it fried my cat pretty quickly. I was not be able to get into boost at all.

Take it off and punch that sh*t out!

yes to both question , but you will get a check engine light(CEL) if put a traight pipe aka catless but if the car pulls hard i guess there's nothing to worry about

 

damn dude i really dont wanna do that they are strict as hell with that cat stuff here, isnt there anything else legal i can do?

 

then buy a high flow cat (3in) that's about all you can do

 

4 bolts and a high flow cat...

 

is there a way i can check to make sure its the cat thats ****ed?

 

Sounds like maybe you popeed a vacuum or IC hose somewhere.

 

i cant believe this, It's not like i raced the car around, i only floored it once when i first got the UTEC, to test it out. I have heard of evo's having problems but this is ridiculous, my car goes nowhere, slow! Should i take it to mitsubishi dealership and play dumb and just say something happened and all i have is BOV and exhaust installed?

 

dunno bout playing dumb but when they see the utec it might be a different story.like what guru said you could have popped a hose or something so just check around the hoses for tightness.
