Ok so i just noticed that in 3rd and 4th gear i peak at 21 psi. 1st and 2nd is 19. I checked all my connects etc... I removed the mutant hamster from inside of turbo.and it stills goes to 21 psi. I have a stock setup except for a catback. Any ideas?

 

My idea is that you got lucky Or your boost gauge reads a bit higher than you are boosting in reality.

i think it's normal because that's why when on the dyno, they do 3rd gear runs, there's more engine load

 

They normally do 4th gear pulls on the dyno, that's the gear that has the closest 1:1 gear ratio.

 

was it cold out and do you have a test pipe? 21 psi is not ridiculously high even for a stock car and it's safe because it's just a spike. Evo's do vary in boost and I would be happy if I were you.

 

no test pipe and its been warm out. My gauge reads right also. Guess i should be happy.
