Evo motor fit in a lancer?

Evo motor fit in a lancer?

Whats up all you evo guys. Yes i have a lancer its a 04 es. ( hangs head in shame) haha . . . . But i just bought a evo 8 motor with the turbo setup intercooler and the tranny from my friend. I Got a hellova deal. But does anyone know if the motor will fit in my lancer. Knowing that i will need new engine mounts and all. thanx

to date no one has succedded. Can it be done, yes. will it be easy, no.

It will require alot of custom work to do but if you got the time and $$ i say go for it.

Is it possible to use the stock tranny running low boost and only front wheel drive. I dont want to do all wheel cuz of the $$$$

well you would need to find someone to do the tranny conversion. you can take the evo tranny and convert it to fwd but i dont think you can bolt up the stock tranny to the evo motor.

THats what i wanna do is run stock tranny with the evo motor and run reasonable boost for now so i dont blow the tranny. I figured this was better than buying a turbo kit for 3000 and only run 6 psi because of the ****ty internals. Does anyone know for sure if the tranny and evo motor will match up?
