Defi Link Controller Install
I'm going to be installing my Link Controller this week and I wanted to get some tips from those of you who have this. (Read that again...from THOSE WHO HAVE THIS).
Where did you wire your power harness too and where did you mount your controller? I'm probly going to mount mine under the lower DIN panel or possibly the glove box.
I prefer to do a clean wiring job so no ghetto answers like "wire it to your stereo harness" or any B.S. like that.
Thanks.

There is a thing called "doing the job right". I am a proffesional electronics repair technician (9 years) and you should never just splice some wires together because "it's convenient". Especially if you plan to run higher-end audio equipment; you need a clean power source with minimal draw.
So after that, I'm sure you're asking why a "proffesional" would be asking guys online. I'm simply trying to get some information from those who've torn thier dash apart to do the job right. I haven't had the time yet to get up under my dash to properly map out the wiring. So excuse me for trying to go the easy route. Next time I'll just do the job myself the right way and not bother posting a how-to or letting anyone else know about it.

Well what are you planning on doing, running wires up to the fuse box? You can still do a job right and have it be 'convenient'. Check out your ignition harness... if you don't have a TT tapped into that you could probably utilize a timer harness or something. No need to get all uppity about it either btw.

Upity? Sorry, that seems to be the only recourse when all you get is pissant people answering your post with "Try a search next time". Not everyone who asks questions is an idiot about the "search" feature.

why not just wire it to the ECU like everyone and their mother does?.. ECU will pull as much current as it needs to so the supply is fine... Just ground it to the chassie and your good...
