Does your Boost Controller hold your boost till redline at one psi rate?? unlike the stock system which drops it...

Do you need a simple Air/Fuel controller in order to be able to raise the boost or adjust it properly??

Thanksss

i know a Air/Fuel Controller does not raise or lower boost, what i meant is, should you have an Air/Fuel controller in order to safely raise the boost higher.

depends, having a air/fuel controller is just gonna give you control over the a/f curve, which can give you more power of course...i was running a boost controller without one for a while

do you have a A/F controller? If you have the AVC-R, do you mind posting your settings?

Thx!

I second the bs. These turbos do not like to hold big boost.

I have a MBC and it does not hold boost to redline. Tapers from 20 to 19ish.

Does anyone think its safe to run 19 or 20 psi to redline with a boost controller.. on 93 Pump Gas?? Will my Evo Engine handle the high boost at high rpms safely on this fuel and can it do better???

If you have the stock ECU (virgin or reflashed) then yes.

If you get knock activity then the ECU will pull timing to save you.

Can it do better ??? Again, that depends on your knock activity.

4G63>0000 are you running 22psi with just a boost controller OR do you have additional mods...pump,regulator,safc,injectors etc?

I don't run above 20.3psi unless I am on race gas, then I will only run 21psi.

Please let us know, Iwould love 22 psi on 93 octane!

yeah my boost taper at least 2 psi or more on the way to redline set at 20 or 21. it will usualyl drop to 18 or 19 maybe even more. I have an air intake kit and a turboXS boost controller. Imrunning 93 octane gas, and i wonder if i have a problem or something cause i can not hold a steady 20 psi till redline. it tapers no matter what.
