Let us know how it performs, smells, and if you get the cel. My fear would be that it would cause some sort of power loss in that you are going from small pipe to big open space and back to small pipe. That can cause all kinds of turbulance in a muffler system.

I'm curious how this works out for you. Good luck!

well it will go on with a full turbo back exhaust... my initial plan was to cut the case open and welt it over a pipe but too much trouble, i've gutted a few cats and precats and found it to be not too much trouble. I mean ya there will be some turbulance but it shouldn't be enough to reduce performance and if there is i'll cut it open and weld a pipe through it

Yeah, that would work. You might really consider going that route first; up to you. The other thing to think about is the integrity of the welds on the sides of the cat canister. I've not hollowed one out from a mits; hopefully it will be solid enough to live up to pressure/corrosion and the like.

Let us know how it goes once you get it on there. I hope it all works out. It's worth a shot.

if it can handle 1000-1600 degrees i'm pretty sure it will handle its job, and yes your right it will get a cell, but it will be worked around...
