Only closed loop electronic boost controllers (Apexi S-AVCR for example) will compensate.. Actually, its not all that complex, since all the closed loop controllers do is try to hit a target boost, and ramp-curve. I don't know much about the less expensive controllers, but many of the inexpensive Electronic boost controllers will control boost, and can be tuned for spiking.. But would generally need periodic adjustment in the same way a Manual Boost controller might.

According to the blitz site, they have 4 boost controllers, the top of the line does closed loop(target boost).. HKS I can't tell you though..
