Evo = AWD = your current situation
Should've read the threads that are out there on Evo clutch "problems".
On a side-note ... I hope you realize that the Evo is a fairly serious high-performance car (read: NOT a Toyota), which means that you will have to do a lot of maintenance to keep it in tip-top shape. Yes, this car can be driven hard, but it will cost you $$$ in clutch/tire/brake/etc. maintenance costs.
I don't understand why people would want the OEM clutch replaced under warranty if they are so crap. Why not just buy a stage 2 CM clutch and not worry about it.....

BTW What's wrong with Toyota's? Maybe you should have said Honda instead....

maywood mitsubishi huh? i have less passes down the track, but more on the street, and over 5000 miles...getting closer to 6 on the stock clutch...no problems...and all were with about 320whp...go figure
I didn't say Toyota to knock their performance, I'm citing from a maintenance viewpoint (Honda works just as well for that purpose). In my experience Toyotas aren't nearly as high maintenance as the Evo. Also, aftermarket clutch = no more tranny warranty.

Now I understand why there are so many clutch problem reported....FYI, I meet a guy (Rob) who bought my stock wheels and tires last week, nice guy, he had more than 36000 miles on his car and still rocking the stock clutch.

IMHO, as a 'newbie' member, but have been lurking the posts for a little while, most of the TRUE EVO enthusiasts are willing to step up, and take the responsibility for parts breakage/usage when they're out on the track or pushing the car to the limits... They should be commended.
My worry is that there are a few EVO users that take the car to the track, break the car, then try to get it covered under warranty. The last thing we need is for Mits to pull the Evo.
Just my $0.02

The kid posted honestly what he has done and most of the crap that he has been thrown is not necessary. It is hard, but I can remember being that young and doing things that were pretty dumb.
The only member here that offered help is Yellow Fever which is no surprise. The rest either threw out some useless flame or took this off topic. Not a very good welcome. And I'm sure the dealership will find the clutch glazed like a donut and warranty will be denied. A good lesson for a young owner.
