Exede Twin Clutch Questions

I recently purchased the Exede clutch and it grabs great. But a few issues are happening that I'm concerned about. One is I'm now getting the P0300 error code everyone once in awhile, and when its on the car runs like sh it. SM says the flash should fix that issue. Second the clutch makes a hell of alot of rattling noise when no gas is supplied. I understand some noise is normal, exactly how much I'm not sure. Any advice would be helpful. I had my dealer install it, so they wouldn't void my warranty

Ever pulled up to and heard a Ducati sportbike at a stoplight...they have a rattling noise worse than a bored, piped, and badly tuned Harley Sportster...

But...to help answer your question, could you be more specific so we can get a better idea of what's happening? Do you have the clutch in or out when "no gas is applied?" Does it happen more on downhills with no gas, or uphills with no gas. A little more info. will help much.

Thanks,

jcnel.

More info

It happens with Higher Revs on any given gear, up or downhill, whenever you let up on the gas. Of course if I push the clutch in the sound goes away.

Did the dealer torque everything down using an actual 'torque wrench' versus a 'calibrated elbow?'

That little bit of 'off' torqueness between bolts at high rpm could be exhibited in the clutch hub springs chattering a bit more than 'normal.' I don't have an Exede clutch so I'm going to need some help here.

Just my guess...

I agree with jcnel_evo8, a rattling at partial load with your foot off clutch pedal sounds like something wasn't tightened up or installed correctly.

The noise that people talk about is while the car is at rest with the clutch pedal depressed. With the clutch fully depressed both clutch plates and the friction plate between them will have a tiny bit of room to wiggle around and bounce against each other some.

What did the dealer charge you to install that clutch?

I don't think I have many options besides the dealer here in Nebraska to get an aftermarket clutch installed.
