4G63 is a monster. it can handle high boost. However, I am not sure about 30PSI . I know that you can run it 26 to 27 PSI all day long with no problems if you have headstuds. I am sure you need some good gas with that high boost. Anyways I have 100 octane gas 500 feet away from my house at the pump for 5.19 Per G

Believe it or not Renn-Art, there is one gas station off of 355 and Roosevelt that has 100 octane for $2.70/gallon. I just filled up last weekend. All Gas City stations are $3.59/gallon, which is like 5 blocks away from me, but you can't pass up $2.70.

I am excited to see this Kit hit the market as it is means competition which means better prices for everyone. I have my concerns about the turbine housing and its efficiencies but for the price it seems like it might be worth it.

Charts?

Guys, don’t their charts look a bit strange?

The first chart showing the 3071 vs. 3037 puts the 3071 at 306,6hp and the 3037 at 295,7.

Next chart 3071 vs. 3540 also puts the 3071 at 306,6 and the 3540 at 413,5.

Then the last chart stock vs. 3071 suddenly shows 375,5 for the later? What is this?

Otherwise, looks like a nice piece of kit and very affordable indeed.

Different tunning along the way. They used different ECUs while testing

I want to hear the response of someone that's driven a car with the 3071. I don't know if anyone else noticed but in SCC this month or last, "Evo Orgy" the Works car had the ATP turbo kit installed, and it was cited as being laggy. Actually, they said it made good power once it spooled, but 1/4 mile times were hurt quite a bit by lag. Also it seemed that the transient response was poor. They believed the turbo was mismatched.

HOWEVER, was the 3037 on the Works car, or the 3071?!?!? Because if it was the 3071, I think the dyno graphs may be misleading if under real world conditions the transient response is poor. Anyone know what turbo Works was running?

so which turbo would be better?3071 or gt35r?the dyno seems very impressive. is the 35r very laggy? so now there are 3 turbo kits but question is which will be more efficent?

I asked them the same thing. Why bad results in SCC they said that turbo had bad tunning and it was different turbine also. I guess thats what took them sooooooo long to release. they have been working on since last year. GtR35 is a great turbo however its laggy till 5000 RPM then you fly like a roket. I would take the GTR30 spools 300 rpm later than stock and keeps going till 8000 rpm.

so gt30r=gt3037s rite? so u mean u will pick it over the gt3071r ? but seems to me they are pushing for the gt3071r which they claim spools 1000rpm eariler than the gt30r and seems that the on the dyno the gt3071r is better compared to the 3037s.and those dyno charts are really confusing some are 306hp and one of them 375hp so which one is more accurate?thk on ur previous thread you seem to favour the 3071r.but anyway both are the same price so it boils down to which is a better combination with the evo8 as a stock engine.

I thought that the GT30R is the 3071R I might be wrong however, dont take the dyno so much because in these dynos they used different tunning software every time. Call them and ask them. I did ask them alot of questions and I know that they answerd all mine. the only reason I would buy it from them because all ATP does is turbos and nothing else and thats for along time. plus they are the only company that can offer different flanges for different turbos with great welding so I think i will go with them.. I have to let the wife know or i get my *** s kicked lol.

I really like the ams kit, but I have been considering a bolt on kit also. Atp seems to be the only company so far to release one. They look very promising, but I will wait to hear some reivews on both of them. I am also hoping that Forced Performance will come out with a kit for the Evo. I know they are a great hit with the DSM guys and they are direct bolt on kits. They offer the new GT series now. You can check them out at www.forcedperformance.com. I have tried to email them about making a kit for the evo, but haven't received a response yet. Oh, and FP will only run you about $1200!!!! Awesome prices on all of there stuff, but only DSM stuff right now.
