Definitely go with the wiring harness.. you'll hate life if you screw up your stock harness.. not to mention you intend to use the S-AFC as a stopgap, which means you intend to remove it.. Trust me, using an extension harness is well worth it.. field part number CN-04 sold through Z1 Performance, Buschur Racing, Skunk2, Lancershop (I think) Its a bit pricey (ranging from $120-$150) But TRUST me.. you will have an easier time with it..
1) you can solder the connections
2) you don't have to do it while crouched under the dash
3) you can remove it when necessary (if you upgrade to an EMS or UTEC)
4) you can sell the entire pre-wired setup to someone who doesn't want to wire it themselves, therefore it helps resale..
However, if you don't have any sort of fuel management yet, and can afford it, I recommend the UTEC if you intend to keep the car "Emissions Legal" since the AEM EMS removes the stock ECU and all of its OBD-II features which may be required for your car to pass an emissions/inspection check in your state..
Take all of these things into account before you make any purchases..
BTW, the only $20 harness I know of is a Turbo Timer harness.. Different animal..

BTW the UTEC is the only plug and play piggyback that I know of.. Everything else requires some level of modification.. Standalones are a different story since there are at least 4 that I know of that work with different levels of success..

It's only if you want to use the XEDE's boost control system do you need to pull out one wire from one of the other three connectors and plug it into the XEDE harness. Only takes a couple of minutes and doesn't involve any cutting/splicing/etc,. 100% reversible and takes me (okay so i've had a bit of practice) 2 min 22 sec. to install from beginning to end.shiv
lol very fast. I just spent alot of money on this turbo kit $2500 plus $700 for fuel injectors and afc + pump. Every one told me that I would be running hell rich with this setup until I tune it which is safe. I got bigger injectors so I can go ahead and get some nice cames and intake and so on once i get my AEM
I got mine with 660CC i have 750CC but AL told me that these are huge. anyhow, I will post DYS once i am done with all the pics. I wont have the final answer until my car gets tuned from AL and that will be in the end of the month.
