BOV leak after AEM SRI install?

last week i installed my aem sri and it sounds great i love it.. i just was driveing down a highway and iv heard it b4 thinkn it was more of the turbo spooling up but im not sure.. im actually thinking that its the bov not holding preasure.. because when i lifted my foot the sound stoped and i didnt hear the pshh.. any tips or suggestions? i checked all the connections and made sure all the clamps are all tight and connected. other then the intake my car is stock i dont have any boost guage ( guessing i should get one to know for sure) just wondering if any one else has seen or noticed this. thanks for your help and sorry if this is a repost but i was searchn for about 30 min thru all the posts and couldnt find any thing.

you won't hear a "psshhh" unless you are running VTA.

My issue with the AEM intake is that the bung where you attach the BOV to does not have a bead rolled lip. During a run at the track, my BOV actually shot off the AEM intake despite it being very securely bolted down. Bead rolling is very cost effective, and a touch anyone seriously interested in delivery a quality part would have included.

ok thanks for the vta thought it would be somthing like that just wanted to make sure..

and two letting off the throttle pritty quick cuz i was tryn to make the pshhh happen at a higher speed it just wouldnt.. if it matters i was driveing in the 70 - 90 mph range tryn to make it happen and when i steped on it and let off the pshhh happend more when steping on it then letting off.. if that makes sence why im thinkning i have a leak...

are you sure your not just hearing the turbo. as you accelerate and build boost, the noise of rushing air show gradually get louder. then when you let off the throttle, the blow off valve opens and you get a short loud release of pressured air. a boost gauge should definately be your next mod regardless, IMHO it should be everybody's first mod. But with an open element filter, which the aem sri is, you will hear the "psssshh noise" even if the rest of the car is completely stock. Does it feels slower? Do a seat of the pants evaluation and ignore what noises it's making for one run.

ya it does seem not to have the ooomph at higher rpms.. and higher speeds.. my next mod is going to be a boost guage and a boost controler and guess that would tell me for sure.. just tryn to figure out if any one else with this intake is haveing the same issue as i am or if i got my own problems..

i took all the intake last night replaced some questionable clamps ( clamps that didnt tighten just started to slip.. ) and im going to test it out ( seat of my pants ) to see if i can feel a diff in a little bit.. gota wake up ... thanks for your guys help.. let me know if ya think of any thing else.
