Rod Bolts installation?
Hello all;
From what I've gathered here @ the forums, it seems to be agreed upon that the bottom end of the 4g63 is pretty strong. I have a crapload of power upgrades in store and I wanted to do more insurance mods other than the head studs. From what I've seen, it seems like the rods are strong but the bolts are a weakpoint. My question is, can you safely access the bolts from the oilpan and replace them? Or do you have to take the whole engine out ....if I were to do that, I should just save up for forged components for pistons, rods, etc, and do headwork. Also, if you guys can think of other safety mods I can do, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
