1-2 missing gears

The first time it happened to me... my thoughts were... did I pushed the clutch in all the way? Was I resting on the shift knob? Was the car in a turn during my shifting? .... it was none of the above.

What you said above may be true in some cases but I doubt that it's human error but rather a design flaw. I'm trusting that most people who do have this issue knows how to drive and shift properly otherwise they would have this problem in every single gear instead of just the 1st to 2nd and same issue in other cars they drive if it's a habit.

I had the same problem.... Just shift slower, and hold the clutch all the way down a little longer.... This may be the difference from a loss of a tenth, or an over rev in neutral...
