Something in fuel tank

Alright, sounds really stupid and just may be, however, I was filling up my Evo with a fuel tank in my garage (little red can) that I had just bought and as I was pouring it in, I noticed that a little red something (couldn't tell what it was as it passed by) came from the tank and into my car...It might've been a sticker since the tank was new or maybe some plastic piece I really have no idea, but should I open her up and check it out or do you think the fuel will dissolve whatever it is? Thanks

leave it bro. I don't think its big enough to cause any harm. Besides, have you seen the size of the pick-up screen. It's big .

yeah there is a small filter bag that covers the fuel pump hole, so you shouldn't have to worry. you are right, it is probably a sticker. i doubt it will stick to the filter but if you are paranoid about it, go get chopsticks, wash it thoroughly, then go after it when you have very little gas left... either way it will be a pain

You could always access the tank from under the rear drivers side seat by taking out the fuel pump assembly. I would recommend having a close to empty tank when doing this.

Yeah I had planned on accessing it from the rear driver seat by the fuel pump..I guess I'll just leave it then, it's been running fine so far...
