Very Very Specific Fuel Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, pay attention, this is a lil different.

Back When I had the 2g (TSI AWD) I put on a 50 trim, and with that fuel injectors and a Walbero 255LPH to supply fuel and a SAFCII to tune it. It never really ran right and idle especially was tough, but tuning was inconsistant building up @ best. Problem was the FPR. Turns out the stocker was kinda small. It is SUPPOSED to supply 43PSI @ 0 vaccum or boost, so @ Idle it should be around 37 PSI and go to 43 @ 0 and then I ran 20PSI so 63PSI @ WOT, and then drop down as boost drops.

The problem is with the stocker, it was so tiny that it could not simply return the fuel back to the tank fast enough, so of course FP would rise @ idle, and it would stay constant until significtant boost hit, say 45 PSI no matter what till it hit bigger boost, the the FP would rise. This makes tuning hell, as you need a rising rate FPR to properly tune a turbo car and if it is constant for on and off boost, well you can immagine.

So now I look @ the Evo FPR, kinda tiny, looks JUST LIKE the 2G DSM's, I am wondering the same, I run a 255LPH Fuel pump, is it so small that FP is being over run? Or is the Evo FPR bettern and can handle the new found volume of fuel and return it back to teh tank woithout fuel backing up.

Thanks

The stock for is a little better but is still overrun... Point is no stock for is designed for anything other than the stock fuel pump. Change the pump and you will need to change the FPR or even lines... Al and many others suggest moving to a bigger pump but since pumps and cars differ the tuning for each of these cars is different and makes for very inconsistent information from each. If you want to have a consistent car you will need a bigger FPR. End of story.
