Evos are strong cars. A fella I know Evo 1 has 150,000 kms on it, standard internals still holding together, it takes a hiding and still does mid 12s down the 1/4. So you lot with ya 7's & 8's have got a few miles to go to catch up on that.

32000 miles and nothing wrong except a failed power steering pump but that was a warranty issue

Still on stock clutch

Modded since 1200 miles.

He's just a troll, all his posts are flames. All you have to do is look at his name, justhadyourmom, to know he's some 12 year old with nothing better to do.

Go ride your bicycle and get some exercise! When your old enough to drive, then you can post here.

13k here and its is pretty flawless. Considering the level of performance, you will generally have higher expenses overall. You play you pay ... but that has not really been the case.

I remember when I first purchased my Honda S2000. It seemed everyone was having problems with trannys and rear diff's. I never had one problem after 60k miles with that car. I believe 100% that if you abuse any car you will have problems.

I would bet that if you go to ANY auto enthusiasts discussion board online ever single board will complain about some issue with their cars.

Miata .... '99-'00 Motors had some major bearing defect.
Mustang 4.6 16v ... issues with piston slap.
STI .... Issues with pinging engines
300zx TT ... issues with easily warped rotors & certain motor sensor that where very difficult to replace.
E46 M3 .... motor issues
GTI/337 ... defective BBS wheels, Replacement of Ignition Coils etc etc
350z .... has had some issues with wheel alignments and poor tire wear.
Audi .... I recall seeing a web site that was dedicated to the miserable Audi TT.
Audi S4 ... I think most B5's have had or will eventually have their turbos replaced.
'04 TL ... go take a look at the http://www.acura-tl.com/ and see the issues that are occuring on a car that really is a highER end luxury car.

A coworkers '03 Honda Accord Coupe's motor CAUGHT fire on the highway !!

Most Honda/Acura from '98 - '02 with auto trannsmission's have had major problems.

...These are just a very few examples I can think of off the top of my head without getting into major details.

I dont think its so much that there are problems with the EVO......what most people are complaining about is warranty service after they do mods. Mitsubishi will void parts of the warranty for looking at your EVO the wrong way. Example: put in a aftermarket clutch and is anything happens to the trans of diff. they wont pay. At 18,000 I havn't had any problems.
