Anybody HELP me with my 1/4 mile time slips
I dont know what the hell Im doing wrong. trying to launch at 5500 RPMs, but I dont think I have it down for the mods I have I should be running better, Or at least I think so. Here are my slips. My mods are bushur 3" turbo back, SAFC settings from bushur, and 20 psi, K&N intake, 110 octane. The rest is stock. Thanks
2.0sec 60' time thats your problem. Practice your launch. Rev it to between 5,000rpm and 5,500rpm and flutter the gas to build boost. Make sure you do it for a couple of seconds, right after you see the other guy stage.
You don't need an aftermarket clutch to get 1.8 or less 60' times.

I'm sure this will get moved to the drag racing forum, but...
I think you can pull at least a 12.9 out of that... just need a 1.83ish 60ft....
We have similiar set ups, except I was running on a mix of 91 & 100 octane. I was running 20 psi as well... but for some reasom my trap was a bit higher at 108... with a 12.7- with a 1.8 60ft.
This is what I found worked for me, take the RPM's up to 5500... when you let out the clutch, slowly apply throttle, while slowly releasing the clutch... don't floor it until the clutch is fully released(if you do, you'll glaze the fudge out of it)...
everything is gradual... don't drop the clutch until you are giving it a more than decent amount of throttle(or else you'll bog).... as soon as the clutch is nearing full release, floor it.... it'll take practice, when you do it right, it'll feel so good, you'll probably miss 2nd.
as you start getting it down, you'll be able to slip the clutch quicker and quicker without bogging....
it took me a while, and luckily my clutch has put up with it.

Look @ the 330 Foots, that is your problem your Trap is RIGH ON 105MPH, good, but your 330 foot is 5.8 Seconds? Terrible, that is the 1-2 shift. Get it down to 5 Seconds FLAT oro less and run a 12.7.
As fasr as power wise you are FINE....

Try a launch controller. Over here people run Gizzmo launch controllers, you can preset the RPM you launch at, so that way all you have to do is hold it flat the whole way down the quarter as it it has flat shift capabilities, which makes for big flames and backfires between gears. Pretty cheap too.

if you feel you've glazed it, call it quits.... drive around normally for a couple of days.
the stock clutch will last decently, even take a little beating, just be smart about it.
but of course, being lucky also helps a lot.
