uhm... isn't it made out of ti which makes it a bit lighter?

br seems to have a well thought out line of products that make a good amount of reliable power. and if they make the ball bearing and water cooled options available on the br500 line they have a rock solid product that is cheaper than the others and more reliable.

Price likely to go up as the quality of the turbo goes up.

uhm... david said the "upgrade" would probably be increase of 600 or something abouts there, which would put the kit, in any size, at 3000 which is still pretty good and you're paying for buschurs well tested products.

I have an APR stage 3 GTI as well as my Evo and I have no idea where you got that info from. APR may have had thier manifolds made somewhere else but it is thier design. ATP doesn't make turbo's, they distribute for Garrett. What's up with the APR bashing? Have you ever had any of thier products? Look at the quality of work you get from APR vs. ATP and you will know where your money went.

I agree 100%. That's sick you have both, I am looking to join the club soon! What do you think of your EVO so far.

The Evo is just a blast so far. My GTI will out run it right now but that won't last for long. I am selling the GTI so I can afford to play with the Evo and make it stupid fast. I love my GTI but it can't compare to the "fun factor" the Evo brings to the table.

First of all, yes I have many many of their parts on my GTI. I know them more than any one else. They don’t make their own manifold or their DP or even their exhaust as you don’t know. I am not bashing them and I don’t bash works as well. They are both good companies but they are expensive for no reason. I know that APR chip is peace of ****. Have you look at the air fuel ratio. it’s so rich in then sooo lean, they wait for the time that the turbo (k03) spool to make it up. They buy garret turbos and their kit is nothing extra at all. It's a good kit for someone who does not know how to install injectors or where to buy his own. Their stage 3 gives 290 hp and about 300 tq to the crank only. for $4500 at least. That’s a rip off. My friend has the K04-20 which is bolt on and he is making 260 hp. By the way ATP do weld and design their own DP and manifold. They work with garret head to head on turbos. unlike APR.

First I never bashed your beloved ATP. I simply said you can see the price difference in the quality of the pieces used. What difference does it make if B&B makes APR's exaust? They make a lot of exhaust for other people as well. If APR's software is garbage than who makes good software? ATP, yeah right? For those that don't know about APR check out http://www.goapr.com/VW/products/stage3_trans.html .

Wripping on APR is stupid bud, it's definitely obvious that you are "pitching ATP" hard and who knows maybe they are paying you or gave you the turbo upgrade for free to promote their products. I think that's great but calling APR's stuff garbage is just not justified at all.
