Do i need a fuel pump? (HELP)

Second that emotion! But a waste of time if your staying where you are. Not necc if you aren't using bigger injectors usually coupled with a bigger turbo, not always the case but usual.

No effect on smog. Basically allows more fuel to be pumped to engine. Walboro 255 is most common we're all using. Retails for roughly $100.

it's a good idea to get that fuel pump no matter what you do. The stock one has a record of failing under constant boost where there will be sudden loss of pressure....which leads to no fuel being delivered and an extreme lean condition that occurs when it fails...which leads to a big good ol' detonation. It's a cheap and easy mod to do, I think everyone should just do it.
Not starting an arguement at all. But I must say that if you have that train of thought about your fuel pump, then you should, upon delivery of the 03 evo 8 replace the stock clutch and replace the transfer case along with the pump. I've had to do both on my car with under 11k, with minor mods. I don't speak 4 everyone either, just me. I've run 21-23 psi in my evo with no fuel deliv probs. Just like some people have tried and lost there pump and killed they're engine. Everyones case is diff, but if you're gonna talk preventative maintenance, you should bring it all to the table.

in fact, my tranny and TC will be rebuilt @ TRE and my clutch will be switched to a cusco twin disc.....just waiting for it all to be done. No offense taken, I agree preventive measures should be taken when making power.
Whats up man. Well, when i went to Vishnu (for stage 1), Shiv showed me the a/f ratio graph. The harder he ran the car, the leaner it would get. He said he would have pulled out another 4 hp if he wasnt worried about it leaning out. I think its cheap insurance and if it helps support your future mods, even better. As far as the boost goes, Vishnu set my boost to peak at 22 and tapers to 19. Feels great. In the end, i think most would agree, better to run rich than lean.
Good job, sounds like you're on the right track. I'll enjoy hearing more about your car as it evolves, keep us posted!
