I was shown this weekend by a fellow EVO guy that my throttle cable was slack by about a half inch, increasing take up. Makes throttle response crisper. I thought my engine was just slow on the accelerator, but now when I stab the throttle, the power actually hits quicker. Duh, makes sense! Good luck guys!

To adjust the cable, just loosen the two bolts on the bracket and move bracket until the Throttle body just starts to move, and then let off slightly, so it doesn't move, ie you aren't giving it gas and causing it to rev by the cable until you step on it.
