Angry Need Help with Engine Swap

I can get a hold of a 4G63T Evo 7 engine, but don't know where to go for installation. Since I drive a Lancer (US), the engine bay seems to be exactly the same dimensions, but I dont know who can do it. I heard HORROR stories about how some people have installed it into their US Lancer, but ended up killing their tranny, due to the large amount of power coming from the engine. If anyone can find me a good mechanic who can help me, with the shortest down time possiblke (it's going to be daily driven). In return, I can help you guys get some aftermarket stuff at wholesale prices (I have a wholesale account with a couple of dealers/importers). Please help me with any information possible. Any kind of reply should help me. Thanx guys!

It might be cheaper to sell your car and buy an Evo. Benefit is the Evo running gear and chassis would be very hard to duplicate.

What horror stories from who? We haven't seen anyone attempt the swap nor stories about broken trannies since the stock one wouldn't be able to bolt up in the first place. You really need to look at the swap guide if you haven't. You'll have to do small modifications like the relocating and rewelding the engine mounts, moving all the bay componentry to the other side, relocating the fuel tank to make room for the rear drive shaft...you know...little stuff...

You can just expect the engine to "drop right in" and start. It won't happen. For more info on engine swaps, click on the link in my signature to read more about it.
