Just received Hyperflow FMIC
I have mine sitting here next to me at work, I also have a nice dent in mine, looks like they are packaged like sh*t. You don't realize how big it is in the pictures, this thing is nice!
Also, only my end tanks are polished too, I might have to do a little additional polishing before I throw her in tonight!

I got her somewhat polished up. I started off by sanding the surface down with 220 grit sandpaper, then moved on with some 400, and finished up with 600. Just the sanding alone brightened it up alot, but I also went on further and polished it up with some liquid Brasso. I stopped using the Mother's since it was a paste and a little harder to get out of the cracks. It definitely looks alot better than when I received it.
I just wanted it to have a decent shine and didn't really go all out. It will do though.

Here are some pics of the install. I need some tin snips to cut a bit off of a metal bracket before I get the bumper back on. I will have complete pics tomorrow hopefully.

David...I was very very VERY tempted due to the price...but I am still holding out for yours!
I just think you FMIC is nicer and plus it comes with the lower IC pipe too...and from what everyone says...it is one of the best flowing units out there. Ya have to admit though...$499 is not a bad deal at all
Yep, that is a big difference in price, $250. Their kit and ours are bar and plate. Not sure on the dimensions posted here as everyone measure them differently, if that is the actual core only then theirs is 1.25 inches taller than ours. In the case of how they mount it I don't think it is a good thing. As you can see in the pictures it blocks the two openings in the front cover/bumper. Good idea for the intercooler but we dropped ours down in the car to get more air to the radiator too, helps for the road racing, autocrossers out there keeping their cars cool.
Also, the cast tanks on this intercooler are nice, also makes for a very fast weld job. Ours are completely built by hand and require a lot of welding. We have the lower i/c pipe that is also 5 bends less and 20" shorter.
This is one of the nicest "other" intercoolers I have seen though. I wish I could get my hands on some cast end tanks for ours, would really cut costs down, oh well, I still think we have the best kit out there

How's the performance over stock w/ this intercooler? I really like the cast end tanks and wonder if the smoother transitions help spool-up in anyway. If only they didn't cast "hyperflow" onto the end tank, I'd be all over this.

I agree that they could have been package better, but Turbo XS doesn't package them, Hyperflow does.
For the blocking of the radiator, it makes alot of since to drop the core down to allow more airflow over the radiator. I like Buschur's unit alot too, but I couldn't beat $500 shipped for this one. I know the stock one was sitting at the same place up top. This core is just 0.25" lower than the stock one and still clears the undertray. That was really the selling point for me cause I didn't want to cut the undertray.

Went the lazy route and got rid of the undertray alltogether. Just wondering what effect, positive or negative, this might cause?
Any thoughts???
