Did you get any check engine lights after these mods?

Dave2, how exactly did you measure this increase in spool? by a boost gauge? on a dyno? just by a feel?
I can't speak proper english, so i can't answer your question J/K

i will dyno tune it next weekend, maybe i can prove myself wrong about the spool up rpm. i will bring back the dyno chat next weekend. Stay tuned

Noticed the exhaust manifold is thermal wrapped. How important is that? I'm installing a borla manifold which is ceramic coated and it looks sweet. I had planned on wrapping it before I got it, but now that I have seen it I don't want to wrap it. Can you only wrap one tube? Like for cylinder 4, so that you keep the radiator hose cooler?
Thanks for the pics.

I like the idea of wrapping the header but whoever did yours didn't do very well at all. I also don't think that ceramic coating AND wrapping the same part is a good idea. Do one or the other. Did you put the O2 sensor into the new housing before you installed it to make sure the threads were good?

i did the wrapping myself, i know i did a poor job on it. my mechanic put the o2 sensor into the housing before he installed it.

rpm-evo:
The reason for the wrapping is to lower the engine bay temp.

The wrap will also decrease time to full boost...

3) Theres no reason why changing the exhaust manifold and the 02 housing would allow the car to pull hard to redline without changing the boost control.
Boost is not the only way to make more power on the topend. Boost with less restriction means the turbo does not have to work as hard to make the same boost and thus has lower compressor discharge temps, forcing higher density air into the engine and making more power.

Who cares about his spelling!

You go correcting people and look at what you wrote. forgot or you meant forget, people are a trip in this place, always downtalking someones grammar.

Who care's if he mistyped, he got his message across and that's all that matters.
