Make your shifting MUCH better!
This weekend I installed several things in an attempt to make the EVO transmission shift better. It has always shifted very roughly, especially the first to second shift. Here are all of the things I did this weekend:
1. Replaced the factory clutch line with the WORKS stainless/Kevlar clutch line.
2. Replaced the factory shifter bushings with the KartBoy green bushings.
3. Replaced the factory shifter with the KartBoy short shifter.
4. Changed the transaxle fluid with Mobil 1 synthetic.
I cannot express enough how much better the shifting feels now! It is like a whole different car. If I had known how much this would help, this would have been my very first MOD. I recommend doing all of the above to your EVO! You will be glad you did!

I have done a couple, and am still not completely satisfied. So far I have done a Speed-Source SS coated line, and changed the tranny fluid to Synchromesh. I guess next bet would be the bushings.
I used the stainless line, stiff bushings, and a perrin ss and love the way it shifts. It's all about preference because I know two people who have a short shifter and hate it.
