Just put the injen kit on our shop car to test fitment. Went on very easy, pipes lined up perfectly. Haven't had any issues with it so far with high rpm missfiring or anything. possibly track test tommorrow.

Just bought mine today but have not installed it yet. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the bottle for the window washer and relocate and repiping the intake from the MAF sensor down where the window washer bottle sits. It would be a truelly cold air intake system. has any did this and if you did could you post some pics and what did you do to make it work. peace.........

another side not. if this is done and now the actual filter is farther away and there is more piping from the filter to the MAF sensor, would this smooth out the air flow to the sensor and mimic the stock air box. If this does fix the stalling or hesitation this would be the best kit out. Injen rep, have you tried this and would you make a extension kit for you system? Injen rep please reply because I am sure there are several evo owners that already has your kit and would't mine upgrading to a true Cold air intake. Peace........

Just a quick update, I got the chance to take the car out tonight for the first time after the install and man the butt dyno is super happy! I did notice that the blow off valve has a higher pitch and the spool up is a bit faster. It flows a lot better up top, I guess the 272s are working better with it.

On a side note, always check your gauges when you are testing things out. At first I thought that I had a boost leak after the install because my autometer boost gauge would spike to 21 psi and taper off to 15 psi NOT GOOD!! So I start freaking out, bust out my PALM 105 and start datalogging with the ECU+. I have the ECU+ to log boost with a GM 3 Bar MAP sensor, I've yet to hook up my plxdevice M300 wideband sensor Did a couple of runs and went home. Loaded the files to my PC and what do you know, the boost spiked to 21.5 psi and never went down below 19.5 psi. So my gauge is toast, damn mechanical gauges!! Its ok since I have a Greddy Electrical 60 mm sitting at home

So MORAL of the story is, always monitor your car with primary and secondary devices (if possible ), NO IFs or BUTs ABOUT IT!!!!

savageevo- No we haven't tried that extension on the intake. Although considered, we felt that this was the best setup to go with. We will usually go through at least 7 different options before finalizing on a design.

As for the intercooler, check out this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=injen

That sounds like a Geico commercial.
