CEL with my setup QUESTION

ok i drove around for about 20 miles i got CEL . I am running turboxs turboback with their testpipe. will this service engine soon light effect my performance? Should i hook up my UTEC and turn it off. Or get a highflow cat?

i think its your cat causing the CEL..a friend of mine had a Vishnu Turbo back with the testpipe and he had a CEL..then he put back his stock cat then the CEL is gone..everytime he puts on his testpipe the CEL light comes on..

Agreed its the testpipe, I would go highflow cat. I know on some cars when the CEL comes on it (the car) goes into limp mode to protect it, I dont know if the EVO is that way or not.

No problem with cel no limp mode either.. www.buschurracing.com sells a chip you can install that will eliminate the light from coming on on.. also lancershop sells one...

yeah i want to stay away from splicing into wires etc.. Just wondering if i should just shut it off with the UTEC>

lancershop sells the plug and play I believe... You have to call bushur to order,I have it works great..

The wires you splice or on the O2 wire side,no big deal since those O2's will go bad anyways one day ....I also got a datalogger and every 25-50 miles it would pop up,I thought I can just erase it everytime but it got really annoying after 3 months

Since the chip install light hasnt come back on... LOVE THIS THING!!
