Hey where is the best spot to hook up the egt gauge probe, either to the exhaust manifold or down pipe?

is that instruction for the evolution or just in general?

 

it should be for general usage but it's still based on same engine 4G63 - Eclipse/Talon.

My autometer egt came w/ similar instruction. Planning to drill a hole in #1 runner of exhaust manifold and then clamp it.
