Hallman Pro MBC... Very simple and works great, dont forget Greddy Boost Guage

Do a search and youll find alot of info on both... I would go for the simplest mods that go fast

i have the blitz sbc-id with the power meter and that gives you 4 boost setting compared to 2 if just the sbc-id.if you want just a plain controller and dont wanna tinker around mbc's are good and cheap but if you got some extra change go with a ebc.it has load of extra features to play with.like on the blitz powermeter you can do the 0-60/0-100/0-200 but i doubt youll be able to reach that fast there's the 1/8 and 1/4 timing on it but not too sure with its accuracy.

I had the Blitz setup on my last car and loved it. It looks nice, and the power meter is a cool little gadged to play with. Right now, i have the HKS EVC, and do like it.

The primary reason for people getting a boost controller is to reduce boost taper. That being said, using an MBC is the most cost effective way to get a little extra boost in the top end. My advice would be to get an MBC if you are on a budget.

The biggest benefit of getting an EBC for me was to be able to be assured that an aftermarket boost selanoid would be monitoring my boost levels.

. Make sure you have the utilities to monitor boost before making changes.

yup ebc gives you more selections and optios to use.i have the one with the dual solenoid so i can get the boost to come on a tad earlier, kinda risky but its fun if you got it set up right.

HKS unit is good but expensive and heard it's not easy to tune. I like the greddy profec b spec 2 cos it's user friendly and reasonable price. Blitz unit is very similar.

i have always used hallman. recently a buddy gave me a turboxs standard bc, so while at the shootout we threw it in (amongst other parts). i had to drive home with it leaking & hissing all over the place. stick with what works (hallman or joeP). IMO

other advantage of the electronic ones is the ability to change boost at the touch of a button as well

In terms of setup, all depends what you are used to using...we have used the HKS's time ad time again, and can do it in our sleep

The Profecb took a bit longer to do, the Blitz is similar in setup the the HKS>

I don't have much experience with the manuals except for the Joe P one I used on a Subaru a couple years back....gave me far too many troubles, as I frequently found myself adjusting boost back down to where I wanted it, especially during big temperature differences
