price on transfer case?

A dumbass friend of mine busted something after wayyy too many launches on his clutchmaster stage 4 clutch {his car = less than 300 hp, clutch rated at like 900 hp} anyway he wanted me to ask around on the boards if anyone knew how much a tcase is and if he can get it for cheaper elsewhere. When he took it to his shop and they took his car apart the guy said the "awd system" is messed up. i told him im guessing its the transfer case. thanks.

Ya i would go with the RS or MR or Quiafe TC. No sense in getting another stock TC if you are going to be paying that kind of money. I heard of issues using the RS TC on a 03 GSR becouse of the ABS. But i guess that this is only noticable when track racing and doing hard braking. Besides that you will not notice.

Yes, it will work!

My transfercase went out after getting the Cucso clutch installed - 88 miles later.

Anyway, I ordered a new Rs limited slip Transfer case from Japan and got it installed. So far I have put approx. 3000 miles without any problems.
Also took it to the track and made like 6 passes on it, best for the night 12.61 @ 109.

So far, it's just that one guy who's said he noticed the ABS acting weird on a road course at the limit.

I called up Quaife and asked them how their helical diffs behave under braking and they said it should behave like an open diff. We'll see.. I'm sure RRE wouldn't have gone through all the trouble w/ Quaife to develop a front LSD for our cars if our ABS wouldn't work with it.

I never said that i was having problems. Im looking into getting this mod done this is just some research that i have done and people saying that you will not notice in normal driving but in hard braking you will notice. There is a reason the RS doesnt have ABS in the front
