Stock Bypass Valve?

Has anyone reversed the stock bypassvalve yet? I used to have a 1.8T GTI and they have similar BOV and i reversed it and it would hold boost way better than the normal position. Anyone try yet?I also noticed diferent sound when i reversed it in the GTI. Normal was a pshhh sound, reversed was more of a whistle like the hks.

I did this on my old Mirage VRX (Lancer GSR) with the standard BOV as that leaked at 13psi.
It held boost fine when swapped around, the only problem was that at low throttle/low boost when you lifted off you got a little compressor surge, the same as with an HKS SSQV.

Actually I did it by mistake and the car did hold boost alittle better. Not sure if it will damage anything so I put it back the right way.
