300.6 on dyno dynamics

Just got back from Vishnu and had Shiv tune my car.

Mods:

Buschur Stg 4

BR 440 Kit

Greddy EBC-- dual silonoid

21 PSI to redline
91 Octane

Flash only

I had a dynoflash base map to keep me running until I could drive all the way to Vishnu

with the dynoflash, SHiv did a baseline of 270 WHP

then he reflashed it with his base map and made 290 WHP

after some tuning and what.... now it is at 300.6 on 91 octane

I have all the dyno charts, but I left them at Vishnu. I am going to try to get another copy from him or have him scan it for me and will post it up or maybe he will for me.

Overall I am pretty happy. He is a really nice guy and real friendly. He defiently knows his **** and doesnt bash other vendors even when he saw what the dynoflash did for my car.

While I was there there was a stg 1 vishnu that made 268.1 WHP

What would this be equivilent to on a dynojet and at the crank?? I forgot to ask Shiv b4 I left.

Hopefully the vendor wars will end as it is clear as day as to whose tuning is better

base map to base map its a 20 HP diff.

Dynoflash basemap in the middle of the bandwidth these is a huge rich spot.

You will see when I get the chance to post the charts.

Great 91 oct #s. Just multiply your 300 by 1.15 to get an approx.(345whp) Smog dynoed 313whp at Shiville and at XS 354 or356whp. Get the exedes and do a race gas map. 350whp would be possible(optimistic) on his dyno with the good juice and an 11 sec Evo with the right driver and track conditions.

Evo81, You are spot on. Shiv's dyno reads lower than the norm. So depending on the Dyno you compare it to the #s will be lower by varying degrees. 1.15-1.17 have been used to estimate what avg dynojets put out. However there is no Dyno consistency even with the same Dynojet at different shops or any other Dyno for that matter. Dynoperformance(in Georgia I believe) Dyno even reads lower than Shiv's.

Yeah.... I dont ever drag race so no need for the race gas map. I only do track day events(road courses). Go through wayyy too much gas to use race gas during the whole day of racing.

I was nervous going because I saw what a couple other tuners have shown tuning wise with the BR 440 and BR 500 and was hoping it was tuning or lack there of that was showing poor #'s. Lucky for me it was. I just wish I wasnt limited to such crappy daily pump gas. Ohh well

How about a patition to get 93 here in cali.... hahahahaha

w2pac,
How does your car drive? Do you like it? Just to give you a little comparo, stock turbo cars with your mods make about 270 to 280 on Shiv's dyno on 91. So you definitely made some power. But the 91 we are subjected to is horrible. Save for the Xede now so you can get at least 40 more horsepower on race fuel.

FWIW thats smoking on some seriously sucky CA 91. I really really wanted 100 octane #s as that seems like a nice little turbo. 21 PSI was all the CA91 would support before timing reductions. So we have a good basemap for some other BR4/440s that should be spot on even with crud gas. BTW it was great to meet you and the minidyno day was a blast!

Also EZ76 stopped by for some followup runs on his 10.5 CM 16G and the tune is holding spot on at 315AWHP on 100 oct. IIRC Correctly Shiv even picked up a nickle or so up top. Next on this car is an AMS FMIC with lower IC pipe. Then a ported head! EZ is serious about solid modifications to the already great equipment on the EVO! Fun stuff for sure.

So it seems we have developed a good 400bhp XFlash map for the BR440. If anyone elese has one (and is runnning 660cc injections), let us know.

Cheers,
shiv
