Turbo Trixx ECU Flash Question
Turbo Trixx ECU Flash Question
Man problems with my ride just get more complicated, oh well here goes.
So I get my oil change from Mitsu today, ask them to check what exactly is causing my CEL, 1st code is PO139 which is the REAR 02 sensor makes sense with my BR exhaust, 02 bung and 02 simulator, have to check the wiring on that.
2nd one is the infamous PO300, which is the RANDOM misfire; they also said that the Idle was VERY VERY rich, again this makes sense as I run 272's and the car does stumble.
So I need a reflash soon, my last tuning session was cut short when my stock clutch finally gave out @ 33,000, still works just can't hold over 300WHP, so new clutch goes in this week.
So what causes my CEL PO300 code? Turns out this is caused by the cam angle sensor. It was programmed from the factory to be a bit too sensitive. So sensitive in fact that it was reads the harmonics from my noisy cams and such. So I THINK sometimes the cam angle sensor would sense these vibrations and think that the engine is knocking, when it was not really knocking or something like this. But IDK, maybe better info is elsewhere on this.
Which brings me to ask if TT or anyone can flash the ECU to lessen the sensitivity.
I need a retune anyways; I was hoping that this is possible with proper ECU tuning, is it? I know Vishnu has a fix for this posted in that very large CEL thread, and I cannot allow the dealer to fix it as it'll kill my map as it is VERY rich just to limp around until I get a clutch to hold the power.
ALSO with these multiple CEL codes, will my car go into limp mode and lose power?
Any and all info would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys for the space
