Question Bov Quesion?

Does anybody know how much boost does the greddy type s handle? Is the Blow off valve that comes in the kit the same as a universal Greddy type s bov, can I just buy the flange for it and will it be the same as the kit? Wich bov would you recomend HKS, Greddy, Blitz?

I used to have it on my car. Actually, just put the MR BOV on last night. With the mod from evomoto.com, it will hold up to 21psi if I remember right. Sounds great too. The mod basically consists of removing the larger spring. Check out the website and go to the technical section. It'll show you with pictures on how to do it. Hope this helps.

1)So the MR BOV can hold more boost than whats currently on the car?
2)Does it vent to the Atmosphere or intake?
3)Is it louder than stock?

First off, you sould never VTA unless you have a Engine Managment system that can correct it otherwise your car will stall. in my opinion, the greddy type s is like a Eclipes 1st gen BOV, but it can handle up to 28 psi or something like that depending on the spring, i am using the HKS SSQ, it is the only BOV that that will for surely not leek because of the way it is set up.

I used to have the HKS SSQ recirculated and it still made my car idle funky. If you do the spring mod to the Greddy Type S, you should have no problems whatsover as long as you're not running more than 21psi. At that point, I believe it leaks. That's what they have written on the evomoto website where they did the testing. The MR BOV recirculates. It's not really loud at all. It's kinda quiet. I personally like the loud sound too, but not at the expense of performance. I read somewhere on this forum somebody running 26 psi with the MR BOV with no leak problems. As far as the U.S. one coming with the j-spec version of the BOV, I heard the U.S. one will come with a plastic one. Not completely sure though. The price companies are selling the J-spec one for is awesome anyway. Z-1 has them for $120 shipped I believe. Give Adam a call there. He's great to work with.
