question about short shifters

I agree, only one that I can see a possible difference in would be the Kartboy short throw which actually has a bend in it to bring the shifter closer to the driver, not sure if others have this design. Another option if budget is priority would be the Megan Racing short throw, I haven't seen it yet but I can tell you that if it's on par with the build quality of their cat back it should be pretty nice http://www.meganracing.com/products/...sp?prodid=130# for $49.95

I just have a quick question to add to this thread. From what i've read the shortshift kits make the actual height of the shifter shorter, as well as reducing the throw. Can anyone give some estimates of how much lower the different kits make the lever? Specifically the LS and B&M kits?

I have the regular B&M short throw and it makes the shifter short enough to where it's annoying to have a 1 pint ozarka bottle in my cupholder, that would be my ONLY complaint, but it's also crappy positioning of the cupholders for a car with a standard transmition.

The LS shifter is about an inch shorter. The stock boot still fits well.
