Apexi Intake Hardpiping?

I know they make an Intake Hardpipe for the Evo7 with their filter and such. Will this fit on the Evo8? Any vendor can get that to me?

I think you can buy just the HKS hard pipe, without the filter and all if you want to use it. I have heard that this combo works.

Well that would work if I could get a vendor to stand by that.

the evo 7 has the same layout as the 8... if will fit. the super suction intake kit can be purchased at boost-solutions. (they state it's for the 8 in case you want a vendor to stand by that)

btw the hks will not fit the apexi filter... the apexi filter is tiny... whereas the hks pipe trumpets out to 4" to fit a REAL filter.

Why does the trumpet effect matter? The Apexi filter attaches itself onto the MAF anyway. I have this setup and works just fine.

If you are running MAP, then it'll be a different story.

The reason I need to make sure its the same angle is I have the Alum Heatshield that Apexi makes for their filter. As such, I need to make sure that everything works with that heatshield...and if the HKS pipe does that, then that is fine. But its like pulling teeth trying to find out either that or if I can get an Apexi pipe here in the U.S.

I know the sparco evo has this setup so I am wondering why I have never seen the pipe.

ah that's right... i forgot that the apexi unit has an maf adapter and wouldn't need the hks one... in any case the hks filter is a better choice only AFTER you get a 4" inlet turbo.

sparco is running custom pipe that bolts up to the box... and filter bolts up to box inside... or rather... the bolts go through the pipe box and then filter... me thinks.

The "box" is actually only two peices of alum that form a heat sheild. Very effective too I might add is it dropped my intake temps around 7 C. I didnt know they had a custom piping on the inlet to the turbo...just figured they used the Evo7 pipe.

I was wondering the same thing too. Haven't installed the aluminum box yet. I tried but I couldn't get the brackets in. Did you install the box then the filter or did you put in the filter with the box attached already? I'm looking for a hard pipe that fits as well

that's what other people said.. that the sparco unit was custom... i think the super suction kit looks different and doesn't bolt up to the box... but i'm not sure about that at all, i guess technically speaking it'd have to in order to be compatible with the air box which it is. so now i guess i don't really know.
