Best cams for stock 9 Turbo??

Getting an EVO 9 soon after selling my EVO 8 a year ago and having a year with an E46 M3.

Looking at keeping the 9 pretty basic mods im thinking on doing are

Fuel Pump
3 Turbo back exhaust and O2 housing
Intake
cams

And maybe a intercooler hardpipe kit.

Question is what are the best cams for the stock 9 turbo?? Is it still the GSC S1's??
Thanks for your help in advance!!

Most tuners on here will say if your going to stay stock 9 turbo then stay stock cams. My buddy tunes and what he has noticed as well as most of the tuners the stock 9 cams are mated perfectly with the turbo. You really shouldn't have to swap cams until you upgrade your turbo

how much of a difference did you see compaired to the stock cams??
I did read that you will make more power on the M1's and GSC S1's compaired to the M2's S2's on a stock 9 turbo, think it was Greg@GSC but dont quote me on that

Sure it starts like this give it 3 or 4 months with that power and we'll see another post from you asking about more mods lol. Sounds like a pretty solid list. How did you like the m3? I was considering buying one for a daily next year.

I still think your missing the point. The evo 9 cams I have heard have been compared to the HKS 272's on the evo 8. The stock 9 cams are fine with the stock turbo no need to swap cams

Get either the S2's, the M2's, or the Kelford 272's. However, whichever you happen to select, you may wish to ascertain that the Mivec oil groove breakage issue on the intake cam has been resolved before purchasing.

Get some TX272's with the new cores or get some used S2's or M2's that don't have the batch number EHH8 or EHHD because those are the ones that are breaking...those three make similar power all around and are perfect for a stock 9 turbo set-up.

Its true, my car did not pick up a whole lot of power with cams on a good running stock turbo setup. Maybe 15hp. If I was going for a simple daily driver I would spend my money elsewhere until he upgrades turbos.

Stock 9 turbo and cams will make 400hp+ I trapped over 120 on stock cams.

^Which cams? And is that +15hp peak? I just ask because my buddy runs S2's on the stock turbo with very noticeable power gains from about 4000 rpm up.

I went from stock to BC 272's & noticed almost no diffrence. Then I swapped those for FP4R's & it made a very noticable diffrence. Un fortunately I was tuned on 2 diffrent dynos so I have no HP numbers. Kinda funny actually the car has lower dyno numbers now & is definately faster.
