You can do the Kelford 272's or GSC S2's while staying with the stock valvetrain as long as you don't go beyond the stock rev limit. At least that is what I have gathered.

I am on a stock 9 turbo and had bc272's in the car. There was minimal gain, and they were a pain in the butt to get dialed in. I am switching over to FP4r's, one because they are local and 2 there are a couple of locals who have had great gains with them on the stock turbo. Also, they don't break..and two of the worst cam breaks are local to me (Booster9 and TNT)

Sup Jason. The M2s are nice cams, but the FP4Rs are a bit more agressive & can be run on stock valve train. Keep in mind I swapped the M2s out of that stroker for my FP4Rs without a second thought. I love em & would recomend then to anyone. FWIW my car made 350hp on the Dyno4mance DD which is the most they have seen out of similar setups. Most stock turbo bolt on cammed cars are arround 330 there.

Sup man. I think I'm leaning more towards the FP4 and the S2. Rode in Ryan's car b4 the BBK and after the cam install. That thing pulled HARD on the S2.

I don't know much about the S2s, but when I pulled the M2s out I did an eyeball comparison of them to the FP4Rs & they have a much shorter duration. I hear great things about the Kelford 272s also. Those were the other cams I concidered, but I ended up choosing the FP4Rs & couldn't be happier. I'd offer you a ride along, but by the time it's running again it wont be a fair comparison. You can still have a ride though.

I made some nice gains when I dropped in my M2s and got the car retuned...like 20whp.. Lots of added torque from these cams and the idle is sick too.

I did read that you will make more power on the M1's and GSC S1's compaired to the M2's S2's on a stock 9 turbo, think it was Greg@GSC but dont quote me on that
well ill tell you this much, the top end woke up amazingly you will fell the difference no question about that.

the iddle, driveability is a little off from the stock cam but again is a 272 cam is very aggresive you should expect that from a big cam.

plus the way i look at it is iam ready for when i decide to go bigger turbo.

i have been tols many many times, do not be affraid of big cams, my take is when it comes to cams dont be affraid and put big cams i there

TOLD U SO! The fact of the matter is the evo 9 on stock turbo and cams > evo 8 turbo and stock cams

I agree with DBallz.... people with aftermarket cams on the stock turbo aren't trapping any higher than people with stock cams.

During my tuning session I noticed that the MIVEC map can make a huge difference in power even on the stock cams. I think that's why some people believe they've picked up power after a retune.

I'm now at 118mph on 100 octane stock turbo / stock cams at 26 psi.
