You're on the East Coast. There is no other choice than TurboTrix. I am making over 300AWHP with a TT flash and similar to you.

If they are absolutely not an option, go with an SAFC-II.

The Dynoflash is subpar over a wide comparison of products and users and it's pretty hard to deal with Al, IMO. There will be a few in between that like the Dynoflash but I don't think they know the difference. All they can pretty much confirm is that it works better than stock. Everything does at least that.

eric .

you will have alot more torque gains with the flash,, Prob on average about 20-30 ft lbs more then afc. Hp numbers are pretty close, a bit more with a flash. If you account the cost of an afc , then flash. The choice is obvious ..

Why do you want to vent to atmosphere? There is no advantage to it regarding driveability or performance. On top of that, the loud blow off sound will get annoying in, oh, about 2 days.

I personally had the AFC-II...great unit...but I opted out for the Dynoflash...I have to say I am very happy with the performance of the Dynoflash versus the AFC-II. I'd have your car flashed for sure...what vendor you choose is up to you. I have nothing against anyone at all...but I know others do. Until someone can physically show me that their flash is better...I'm sticking with Dynoflash....problem is I'm in Illinois and no tuners are around me other then AMS! LOL

How about if a guy with a Works flash and the EXACT same bolt ons as me, who dynoed 264 AWHP outran me when I had the Dynoflash.

Then (on the same day as the Works guy), after I reflashed with TurboTrix, I put down 292 AWHP (running rich).

Our run was a fifth gear highway run with no driver involvement. A true test of power.

He was faster so I had less than 264 AWHP.

So lets estimate I had about 255 judging by the rate at which he pulled on me.

So I gained about 40 AWHP by changing only the flash.

Now I have a revised flash from TT making it a little leaner up top. I am expecting another 20 HP. I will dyno on Saturday.

The dyno we use shows low numbers compared to a Dynojet (it's a Mustang AWD). I know this because I am a LITTLE bit faster than two Vishnu guys here WITH cams (I have no cams) on the highway and they dynoed 320 AWHP on a Dynojet.

Is that proof enough?
The only flash a Dynoflash is better than is a stock flash.

Hey man,

I would go with TT as well, that's my plan after a new clutch, 3" catback, and cams.

My advice would be to make sure your car is running right first though. Don't try to mod to make up for a problem. I did that myself, first got an MBC, then an AB muffler, then the SAFCII. My car got faster, but over time it didn't feel as fast and I just thought I was getting used to it. So I added a DP and car didn't really feel much better. I did check my ic clamps, but the crappy stock ones must have been stripped because when I replaced them with t-bolt clamps and Samco hoses, the car really came alive. It wasn't that I was used to the power, it was that my car really was slower, heh.

In my case, the leak(s) were causing me to run rich. I think this also fouled my Denso plugs, so I was getting a lot of misfire. I had to switch back to the stockers and the car has been running excellent.

Oh well, sorry to ramble.

Take care,

This is So true alot of people think that throwing on and bolting on parts will make their car Faster. While little things like boost leaks kills their performance, heck makes the car sometimes slower than it was stock. The best approach would be to bolt a mod on and test your times, but of course we all don't have the luxury of being on a dyno everytime we change something on the car.

How about a ECU reflash, and an SAFC! Then you can get a wideband and fine tune the AF.

This is a poor mans standalone. Get a good timing map with the TTM flash, and then get your AF dialed in on a local dyno, or using a wideband such as the UEGO.

I have the Works P2... although it is the smoothest running flash I have seen to date (have no experience with TT), it definitely was lacking, power wise, compared to the Dynoflash's I've experienced. I really wish I had the opportunity to try the TT to see for myself. You are going to find a lot of subjectivity on who "likes" what, but one thing is for sure, a flash is the only way to go vs. an AFC.
