Buschur Racing 50 trim turbo kit......
Here's the scoop. There is a lot of demand for a 50 trim turbo kit. I've never used one but that is going to change.
I have a new turbo kit that I want to build. I need a car to do it on, so someone looking for a 50 trim kit, this is your shot at getting one on the car, tuned, cheap. This is a non ballbearing turbo, so it is also not water cooled. It will use our cast/coated manifold. Very nice, simple kit. I should be able to keep the cost down on them to under $2,000 complete. I am waiting on pricing for the turbo so I can get it exact but under $2,000 is what it looks like. I'd prefer a car with our 3" turbo back on it and an AEM EMS, that's my only two requirements. If you have stock injectors you will probably need to upgrade to an 880 cc or so. I will install it, tune it and make whatever is needed for lower i/c pipes for the install. Can a 50 Trim EVO run 10's?

Well, looking at your dyno chart, I'd hope it could run 10's.
This is not a typical 50 trim turbo but I am not going to release all the information until after I can post results and pricing. |
What the difference between BB 50 trim & NON BB 50 trim?

ball bearing turbos spool considerably faster. journal bearing turbos are cheaper.

Well I am pretty freaking smart but I don't think I'd say I am rocket scientist smart. I'm smart more along the lines of a gynecologist, in that depart let me say, I am really- really smart. I can spot them, identify them, treat them and hell sometimes I even name them. I also know they do not have the ballbearing option but many have a sleeved bearing option and sometimes the sleeve should be much tighter for proper clearance. I've seen those with and without the water cooling option, more commonly refered to as "squirters", they can be quite messy so make sure you use a drip pan when doing an install on that type. The spool up can vary, this will depend on the bore and stroke used to try and get it going. The really nice thing is the map for them is quite easy to follow and there is no actual pressure ratio, most can take whatever you throw to them. In actuality most people will never use it to its full potential. This is kind of sad as a lot of times your buddies will end up using it too, sometimes a few guys at a time will take it out to beat on it.
