My Battery Relocation

4 Attachment(s)
Used a Summit Racing sealed battery box kit. Came with 1 guage cable and all hardware, cost around $100. Also installed a circuit breaker in the trunk. Made a cover for the distrbution under the hood and mounted it on a brake resivior mount. Install difficulty: easy. I just don't trust those little batteries.Attachment 134466

Nice.

How did you run the positive side of the wire to the trunk?

looks pretty good man...is there another way to try and make the negative wire a little more hidden going back there??

Yes, the negatve cable is to short, just grounded it to the most convienent place till I get longer cable. The positive cable runs down by the backseat, (just pop out the bottom seat section). Run cable along where stock wiring is under door sills, feed through opening on passenger side firewall,, near top by the strut mount. It's 1 gauge cable , but was easy to work with and fit under the door trim. Attachment 134503

What size circuit breaker was used with your battery? The one mounted right next to it?

Nice. How are you going to put windshield washer fluid in though? Looks like it will be a bit tricky.

I'd say a funnel that has the turn to open feature on the bottom and some tubing. Same way I filled my meth all the time. I do have to say though I've never filled my windshield washer resevoir since the I bought the car 3yrs ago and there's still some left.

Is there a specific evo kit for this or do you just get some cables and lugs and make it work??I have been toying with the mini battery kit, but I don't trust a battery that small...
