bc 272 cams any good?
are brian crower 272 cams any good? how do they compare to ..say hks 272?
|
no. lol do not go with BC for cams. i would stick with Kelfords or GSCs.
|
what exactly makes them not as good? i mean its a piece of metal ground into shapes.lol if the specs are the same then what?

Specs are the same as what? Just because a cam says "272" does not make it the same as every 272 out there. In fact, They are almost all different. -Em |
I have BC 272's in my VIII they gained 30hp 30tq over the stock cams and redialing in the tune. Which were right on par with what cars were gaining going to the HKS 272's at a fraction of the cost. Those cams have been in my car 70k miles
That said I would not recommend them to anyone nowadays as there are much better cams on the market now reasonably priced which was not the case when I bought the BC's. I'll be swapping them out when I do the timing components soon here for S2's{thumbup} |
yea if you like to waste money then get those cams

There is a lot more to cam design then that my friend which is the reason S2's are going in my car they have updated their EVO cams a couple times now over the years Look at the specs to all the popular cam they are all different. Center Line, Lift, Duration, Duration at X amount Lift, etc... all come into play |
yea i realize there is more than the 272 duration involved .thanks for the input though
