Should i part my car out?

I recently totalled my 03 evo VIII and am currently debating if i should buy it back for 6k. A lot of parts are in fine condition, only things that are damaged are the Front bumper and fenders, the intercooler and piping are gone, the radiator, the rear bumper, and a lot of frame. The engine, turbo, and everything else are in perfect condition. The engine only had 10k miles on it too. Question is, should i buy it back for 6k? what do you guys think? Thanks

Do you have some pictures?

Do you have any mods on it? If not, I would say that you wouldn't get more than $6k by parting it out. You can probably get like $3-4k with stock parts. How's the engine?

Yes. You can make a decent profit by buying it back. Some people are looking for parts cars and would give you more than 6k for it too.

i have pics but not on me, ill post em up tomorrow. Engine is fine, not a scratch on it, as with the turbo. mods i have are, JIC FLTA2 coils, perrin cat delete pipe, JIC downpipe. I had JIC Ti Exhaust, but that got wrecked in the accident. Now all i have is stock exhaust.

The questions you need to ask are these...."How much are all the good parts worth?" and "How much would it cost YOU to get fixed?". I am sure you could make money of parting it out because I have seen "Parts Only" cars for 8k that were hit in front and back. But also if you could fix it (Not for what the insurance company says it will cost) for a decent price you could have your car back on the road and have less than 15k in it. It will have a salvage title? but that is only a factor when you go to trade it or sell it.
BTW I am rebuilding a car at the moment and plan to have 14k in it.

BTW....it would be a lot of work for you to part it out properly....you would possibly have to cut some panels on the car, but if you can and are willing to it might be worth it....Look on ebay and see what some of the good parts are going for.
Brembos ~$1000
HIDs ~$700
Drivetrain ~$3500
Seats ~$1000
Doors ~$300ea
Wheels ~$800 set

so there you are over the 6k already

I know everytime I see a totaled evo getting parted out there will be about 2 dozen people wanting your transfer case. and there are a few needing an engine and tranny. good luck on what ever decision you make.

I'll buy the whole car from your insurance if you decide not to. PM me.

Sorry to hear about your car by the way.
